Footy, Friends, Famiy, Food and a Princess! October 2017

Last weekend was a big one.. after being extremely ill all week, the AFL grand final was on - Saturday was spent with our footy nut friends - out in the back yard - food, drinks, and footy... Bummer about the result.. but there's always next year.

 MILLIE MAE IS ONE!

I really cant believe that this little angel is already One! it was a day filled with pink, sugar, a bouncy castle and flamingo's everywhere.

Happy Birthday to this beautiful girl!  i love you resting bitch face (which i get from you alot), i love your food smiles and i love you.

I love that i am able to be part of your life and watch you grow (now your back in Adelaide). I love seeing your personality change, but most of all i love watching your crazy cat parents look at you with love and pride.

I took 160+ photos at Millie's bday so i if you want the original let me know -

After a long day full of presents, cake and a bouncy castle.

Its an amazing feeling, having a long weekend spent with friends a family. So many times we take for granted who we have in our lives. I can honestly say i am one of the lucky ones.
I have an amazing family who are always there when i need them, i have a husband who looked after me all week, and friends who make me realise that its the little things that count. Its a one year old dressed as a cupcake who makes you realise that these times, no matter how few and far between are what mean the most.

Days full of laughter and cheer is without a doubt the best medicine.

I am greatful in life to know such amazing people, to spend time getting to know them and watching them grow. Watching and capturing these moments give me a sense of pleasure and honor to be in these peoples lives. I am lucky enough to have many children call me Aunty Manda, and i know that when my time comes to have kids, they will be brought into this world with so much love, happiness and care.

A bit of a reflection post, but after the weekend that was had, there was no other options.
Bring on the warmer weather, the longer days and the memories to be made.

Until Next time....
Stay safe, take care and be happy!

Normanville September 2017

This weekend we headed up to good old Normanville - Down on the great Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia.

Luckily those Adelaide Crows have the week off, so we were able to get away with the gang, and spend some much needed time resting and relaxing.

A little bit out of the norm for the boys as they (aswell as us girls) are used to bonfires and the every constant noise of the revving of a motorbike engine - but it was nice to sit back and relax and soak up some sun!

3 camper trailers - 1 motorbike trailer - 1 swag - 8 adults - 2 kids and a dog...

Great weekend had by all  - i didnt take as many photos as i would like, but i did get the chance to go for a stroll with the hubby along the beach and get a few snaps in.

James saw a lizard, us thinking he has lost is marbles, and then it reappearing in a tree - of all places.

Gary sulked most of the weekend about not having a bike, ben is apparently able to shoot a basketball behind his head and score and even though its spring - its still bloody cold at night! and only one band-aid was required all weekend - Good one Lyall!

Amazing weekend away, cant wait for the next one!

This is me.

Im Manda but known to many by Aunty Manda

I live in Adelaide with my amazing husband and my boy Oscar.

My husband Lyall has decided i need to start a blog so that all you people can see the photos i have been taking when out and about.

I have some catching up to do so there will be a few blogs which are out dated and will have to rack my brain about the details but ill give it a good whack.

So i know a few people who blog, and i didnt think i would be one of them. But here i am...

For my 30th birthday i finally allowed myself to get a Nikon camera.. ive always had an interest in photography but let me get this out there that i am by no means a professional when it comes to photography. It is something i like doing, its something that lets me remember the times spent with friends and families, and allows me an opportunity to notice to wonders of the world.

Im that random person at the beach lying on the floor just to see what it will look like from a different angle, im the one who tells my husband that were going for a romantic walk along the beach - but i dont actually hold his hand.. or stroll... im normally asking him to hold my camera lenses, or my shoes, or telling him to let go of my hand so i can get another photo.

in the last 12 months we have invested in a new camper trailer and we try and escape as much as we can hence the blog.

So my darling friends and family, im not going to put all the photos i take up because i can take anywhere from 1 - 200+ per trip, so if you wanting one of the photo's let me know and ill send it to you :)

mic drop.
